EVIS.AT - Real-time road traffic information Austria
Information about the project:

- Budget approx. € 16 million, 50% subsidies
- 14 partners, consortium leader ASFINAG. EVIS.AT involves the federal provinces of Burgenland, Carinthia, Lower Austria, Upper Austria, Salzburg, Styria and Tyrol as well as BMI, ASFINAG, ITS Vienna Region, Salzburg Research, ÖAMTC, RISC, Logistikum Steyr and the cities of Vienna and Graz.
- EVIS.AT was made possible by the support of the Climate and Energy Fund KLIEN. Funding will be provided under the annual programme 2014 (transport programme line), the programme "Innovation for Green and Efficient Mobility - Implementation measures under the national action plan for Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS)".
The EVIS.AT project aims to provide high-quality traffic situation information, travel times, loss times and event management for Austria's major roads throughout the country by 2020. Planned and unplanned events as well as the current and predicted traffic situation should be included in the Traffic Information Austria (VAO – Verkehrsauskunft Österreich) and thus be available to all road users free of charge. Road administrations and operators also benefit daily from EVIS.AT, making traffic safer, more efficient and more environmentally friendly.
