 Vienna's urban motorways are the busiest roads in Austria. Every day, more than 200,000 vehicles are on the road in the greater Vienna area. Even a minor incident such as a broken down car can have a big impact in this busy traffic area.

To keep the traffic moving, it is important to provide road users with information about obstructions/diversions as quickly as possible. Breakdown assistance is also the responsibility of the Traffic Managers. Every day, they deal with up to seven breakdowns. The length of time roads are completely blocked has been reduced by 22 percent thanks to the Traffic Managers.
